 Michael Scott is a character on The Office. Michael plays the main character of the series, serving as the Regional Manager of the Scranton branch of a paper distribution company, known as Dunder Mifflin Inc. He has a constant desire to be the center of attention, often cracking very inappropriate jokes in the workplace. He’ll play with the meaning of words to make puns, “I’m not usually the butt of the joke. I’m usually the face of the joke.” (Season 6, Koi Pond). He’ll use exaggerated statements or hyperboles, “You are as creepy as a real serial killer. For real” (Season 4, Survior Man). He often uses repetition for comedic purposes, “Whether you’re scared of dying, or dying alone, or dying drunk in a ditch, don’t be. It’s going to be OK” (Season 7, Goodbye Michael), as well as sarcasm, “Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information.”  Michael did not act like a professional high in power. His lack of morality is what made him such a comedic character.
